My son is doing one fine job. Ive watched him take care of Ivy - and you can tell when someone is genuinely into what they are doing. Im very proud!
Having come from a home where the dad was broken and the theme of the house was chaos and mayhem, I appreciate every effort on a man's part to find that place for the love of a child. You dont have to be perfect, but you do have to play with them and lead them and give them hugs. You can make mistakes - everyone does - you dont even have to like those kids all the time (I think this is impossible - who likes everyone all the time?????????) But you have to genuinely love them. That will show in the long run. That will be remembered in the end.
