Fluffie Rufflie™ Cavalcade Of Stars!

Fluffie Rufflie's™ have been taking off like crazy this year!
Up until now, I have only been able to make them one at a time. Whenever I see some fabric that floats my boat, I grab it and churn it into something wearable. I take requests. If I can make it, I will.

They fit. Plain and simple. I am still taking custom orders, but I now have a sizing sytem that you can order with. This will help to get orders out faster. Ive taken all the sizes that Ive been using with my custom orders and Ive broken them down to make things easier. You still have to know what size you are, but you can pick a hip size and an inseam and get your garment sooner.

I am a dancer.......I get it. I get that we have bigger bootie, thigh, and calf muscles sometimes - because we USE them. Fabric has to have some give. You have to be able to be comfy and dramatic and move on stage. I know you will enjoy dancing in these!

Sweet Dicken's Costume

I think I took this from a retired Simplicity pattern. The skirt was calling for elastic. Naturally I was horrified and pleated the skirt onto a waistband. This was made quite some time ago and I just cannot remember all the details that went into these costume. I made it look a bit more accurate than the pattern would have suggested. (well, that was always the case back in the day - now there are some pretty nice patterns out there that do the trick!) I made Janet's outfit and Vaughn's vest.

Another Beautiful Day

Louisa Johnston just sent me her wedding photos. Thank you Louisa! She purchased her dress and veil. She has amazing taste - the dress and veil were to die for! The dress was stunning on her. The veil is exquisite.

I made for her the most beautiful white overdress - like a jumper that she could wear over her dress for a touch more modesty during the ceremony. This also gave her the option of a whole new look for the reception or for dancing after. The bodice closed with "invisible" snaps up under the front strap on one side. A beautiful single crystal button was the focal point at center front. The skirt was pleated from front to back with most of the fullness and length to the back. Louisa chose crystal sheer for this dress. It was shimmery, airy, elegant and fairy-like all at once.

Another beautiful couple. Another beautiful day!

Now Thats What Im Talkin About

Mmmmhmmmmm. Erling does it again in one of my creations. High standing collar and cuffs of cotton velvet. Double breasted. Velvet welted button holes and velvet covered buttons down the front. The coat is long to the ankle with pockets galore. Red satin lining. Yellow fleur-de-lis with a touch of red splashed about the outer fabric. A Dapper Dandy's Dream!
